It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is a traditionally good sitcom that rarely misses the mark. Even after running for a powerful 14 seasons and with season 15 within the works, the present manages to stay recent and hold viewers entertained. A major cause for this is that the main characters occur to be the worst people in Philadelphia. Mac’s repressed homosexuality is performed for laughs constantly, however the reality that his Bible-thumping protection of the sanctity of marriage comes from jealousy of a married post-op transgender lady takes it to new heights.
The recession hit everyone in the United States, including Frank, who repeatedly tries to hold himself in this episode, only to be repeatedly unsuccessful. This is a later-season episode that actually takes stock of the waste the gang has laid over the years. The consequences of each terrible thing they’ve ever done finally start weighing down on them. They can’t go to Wawa, they can not hire films, they can not even reside comfortably of their apartments.
